Our youth (6th - 12th grades) and their parents come to these exciting, theologically-driven meetings on the third Sunday night of each month. If you are checking out our church and have a teen then I encourage you also to checkout our "youth" ministry. We'd love to come alongside you as you disciple your teenager.

Where We Meet

CrossCurrent meets from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall of Mt. Zion Christian Fellowship Church, at 725 Garlington Rd in Greenville, SC. This is in the main church building (we're not meeting in the Youth Center anymore) and you enter via the church office entrance. If you need directions click the link. It'll take you there.

Parent/Youth? ...What's up with that?

Great question...

And it was Paul who wrote, "Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." (Eph. 6:4 ESV)

We also hear God's heart as he was instructing the Israelites in the O. T. regarding parenting: You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. (Deut. 6:5-7 ESV)

We would conclude from these passages that God would be pleased for the parents to be the primary disciplers of their children. As one of the pastors here at Sovereign Grace Church I want to come alongside our parents to help equip them in their calling to disciple their teenagers. It is our joy and privilege to serve our parents in their calling as parents.

And it is a greater joy to watch our parents and youth living in the good of the Gospel as they learn about our great God and as they seek to apply this teaching to their practical, everyday lives.
